Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Development Finance

Unlike the other key business disciplines, the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree Program in Development Finance is still in its infancy. This is worrying mindful that development finance is pivotal in supporting infrastructures in financial management applications within private sector institutions, governments, Non-Governmental Institutions (NGO’s) and wider emerging markets. This MBA degree Program in Development Finance is a specialized interdisciplinary degree program with knowledge drawn from many fields of study. The main objective is to offer an internationally recognised professional qualification with content that is relevant in terms of Cameroon and Africa development needs. The specific objectives are to; 1) Develop and fill skills gaps in policy-making and regulatory institutions in the development finance environment 2) Identify and understand the complexities to manage the different development finance resources available to poor countries, especially in Cameroon. 3) Diagnose and propose solutions to the special problems of finance in developing countries and Africa in particular, and to acquire the skills to operate successfully and to make a meaningful contribution to policy formulation and implementation in this field 4) Contribute towards sustainable development by Shaping finance policies and programs

Prerequisite
1. Fresh undergraduates with no work experience but with an outstanding bachelor degree (at least second class lower division) in business, finance, economics, accounting, commerce or related disciplines 2. Holders of any bachelor degree with at least a second class lower division in non-business related discipline (e.g engineering, IT, science and social sciences and humanities) but with at least 2 years of working experience. 3. Development Finance Professionals, Civil Servants, Staff of Development Finance Institutions, Staff of other Financial Institutions, Entrepreneurs, Staff of NGO’s, Staff in the private sector and those involved in policy formulation and implementation who have a first degree in any discipline
